SuperHEROS Hockey
SuperHEROS is an adapted hockey program expressly designed to provide young people living with cognitive and/or physical challenges a place to play hockey. SuperHEROS is for players between the ages of 7 & 17 living with a disability that makes the traditional hockey structure not a viable path for them.
There is no cost to play and ice times will take place every Saturday morning from October to March at Seven Oaks Arena. SuperHEROS is not a drop-in program, it is intended to be a team and community for the player and their family, allowing the player to be able to proudly say I’m A Hockey Player.
This season, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Red Deer will join Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Regina giving us a total of 9 teams across Western Canada. Funding for this program will come from Rogers, as well as local supporters – The Platinum Jets and the St James U13 Canucks. The St. James U13 Canucks were named regional finalists as part of the 2022 Good Deeds Cup for their efforts to raise funds for Heros Hockey.
