In addition to coaches, each team must have a number of other volunteer representatives in the following roles:
Communications Officer
For the 2020–2021 hockey season, each team in Manitoba is required to appoint a Communications Officer who will be responsible for ensuring all individuals in and around the team are equipped with updated and relevant information regarding the COVID-19 health crisis. This appointed individual is ideally a parent volunteer OR a team staff member and is responsible for monitoring all relevant updates from the public health authorities and Hockey Manitoba. Parent Liaison
- Role – The role of the parent liaison is to communicate parent concerns to coaches and if necessary, to SJAMHA executive according to Code of Conduct protocol.
- Time Commitment – As needed as conflicts arise. Time commitment is normally minimal.
- Training – No extra training is required.

Safety Representative
- Role – The role of the Safety Representative is to prepare the team's Emergency Action Plan and to activate the plan in case of player injury.
- Time Commitment – As needed as situations arise. Time commitment is normally minimal.
- Training – The Safety Representative is required to complete the Hockey Canada HU Online – Safety Course and have up to date Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders certification by December 1.

Team Manager
- Role – The role of the Team Manager is to help organize off-ice matters for the team. Team manager responsibilities include:
- Opening a team bank account, developing team budget and determining team fee amount
- Collecting team fee payments
- Managing team funds
- Assisting Head Coach in facilitating parent meeting, booking practice ice times and planning special events (team-building, tournaments, wind-up)
- Coordinating team photos
- Coordinating team apparel orders, distribution and collection
- Coordinating fundraising initiatives and sponsorship, if desired
- Time Commitment – The time commitment for team managers is substantial and varies significantly based on the level of play and the number of extra events that are planned. Time commitment fluctuates throughout the season, with the first few weeks of the season being busier (approximately 5-10 hours per week), and the remainder of the season being reasonable (1-3 hours per week).
- Training – Like coaches, Team Managers must have up to date Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders certification by December 1.
