St. James-Assiniboia Minor Hockey Association Registrar Position is looking for an individual in the local community that is interested in serving on the SJAMHA Board in the role of Registrar.

This individual should have some experience working in an online database environment. The current registrar will provide support in the set up for the 2024-25 season for the successful applicant. An Honorarium is provided for this role on the Board.

Some of the tasks involved:

  • Manage all player and bench registrations
  • Manage and monitor team officials registrations, certifications and Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders, follow up as needed to ensure all rosters and bench staff are certified and approved
  • Manage team formation rosters in HCR (Hockey Canada Registry), submit for approval to Hockey Winnipeg
  • Monitor and follow up – the Respect in Sport for Parents for association players
  • Facilitate and monitor player and bench transfers and Overage Applications
  • Manage duplicate profiles in HCR system
  • Update HCR profiles (email, address, contacts, emergency contacts)
  • Provide information to parents regarding subsidy applications
  • Verify players reside in correct draw zones
  • Prepare reports regarding registrations, age groups, evaluations, missing information
  • Ensure all waivers are signed when registering and submit to HW
  • Assist members navigate when registering with SJAMHA
  • Attend SJAMHA Board Meetings (once/month, virtually) – if required.
