COVID-19 Rapid Testing for Youth (12-17) for Indoor Sports
As of December 6, 2021, public health orders require youth aged 12 to 17 years attending indoor sporting and recreational facilities (including schools) to provide proof of:
- at least one dose of the Pfizer BioNTech or Moderna vaccine for COVID-19
OR
- a recent (within 72 hours) negative Rapid Antigen Test result
Negative tests need to come from a participating pharmacy as provincial testing sites should only be accessed by symptomatic individuals, or those who are required to take a PCR test by public health.
Proof of a single dose of vaccination will require a printout or web view of the individual’s government-issued immunization record as well as government-issued identification (driver’s license, provincial health card, social insurance number, birth certificate, passport), or a school photo ID card to verify the student’s identity.
