Calling all SJAMHA Coaches! We are excited for the upcoming hockey season to begin and are thankful to have the support of our outstanding volunteer coaches.
Please read the information below to prepare for coaching this season.

Application Form

Please complete the form by the dates indicated to be considered for a coaching and/or on-ice volunteer position within the SJAMHA. As the U7 Initiation Program and U9 Development Program begin in September, we need to confirm on-ice volunteers for these sessions asap. U9A1- U18 coach selection meetings will take place in October when evaluations have been completed.

Deadlines

  • September 8 – U7 and U9 coach/on-ice volunteer application
  • September 20 – U11-U18 – coach application

Coach Certification

All SJAMHA coaches must complete required certification by December 1.

U7 Initiation Program and U9 Development Program On-Ice Volunteers

As  U7 Initiation and U9 Development Programs run September-October, before teams are formed, certification is not required to volunteer with these programs. U7 Initiation and U9 Development Programs offer volunteers a good introduction to coaching. If volunteers choose to proceed with coaching at the U7 and U9 level when teams are formed in November, they can complete required certification by Dec. 1.
