In addition to coaches, each team must have a number of other volunteer representatives in the following roles:
Communications Officer
For the 2020–2021 hockey season, each team in Manitoba is required to appoint a Communications Officer who will be responsible for ensuring all individuals in and around the team are equipped with updated and relevant information regarding the COVID-19 health crisis. This appointed individual is ideally a parent volunteer OR a team staff member and is responsible for monitoring all relevant updates from the public health authorities and Hockey Manitoba. Parent Liaison
- Role – The role of the parent liaison is to communicate parent concerns to coaches and if necessary, to SJAMHA executive according to Code of Conduct protocol.
- Time Commitment – As needed as conflicts arise. Time commitment is normally minimal.
- Training – No extra training is required.

Safety Representative
- Role – The role of the Safety Representative is to prepare the team's Emergency Action Plan and to activate the plan in case of player injury.
- Time Commitment – As needed as situations arise. Time commitment is normally minimal.
- Training – The Safety Representative is required to complete the Hockey Canada HU Online – Safety Course and have up to date Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders certification by December 1.
